Masters And Mastership

EOM Ida Mingle

Masters and Mastership belong to spiritual attainment. There may be masters on lower planes of unfoldment, such as financial or industrial masters, but these are only reflections on the mortal plane of existence of mastery. The only thing gained on the plane of mortality is the understanding of the experiences. The transposition of the understanding of the natural plane to its equivalent spiritual is the step of involution that follows the completion of the path of evolution, this being the means by which one enters into conscious life. Spirituality is preparatory for mastership, even as mortal evolution is preparatory for spiritual advancement. It is the conforming of the forces developed in self-consciousness to the spiritual laws that develops mastership, this ultimating, when Truth is gained, as the identified Master. It is through the identified Master of a cycle that the opportunity for mastership is universally opened to all who can receive it.

Mastership

Mastership produces masters, but the first identified Master of a cycle's progression is the one through whom the Divine Laws act to universalize the principles of mastership, and to raise up others in like mastery. The Master is one conformed to the Laws of Being, so that they can operate through him-her in service to God and humanity. Mastership is in the process of unfoldment throughout the cycle, for one does not at once gain it, but it is at the end of a cycle that it is declared by the Divine Laws, they also standing out the Master of the cycle. The Master of the cycle is the Messiah, the Messianic character, through whom the Truth expresses in absolute degree to prove up the cycle and to manifest the fruit of the unfoldment of the Divine Laws in consciousness. Mastership, by which the Master is identified, has its beginning on the natural plane of living, first in self-control. This is followed by mental control. and mental control by the control of the will to spiritual ideas and principles, this leading to the capacity of the Spirit to control man, by which the Truth is unfolded. Truth fulfilled in consciousness is mastership and the revealed Master of the cycle. It is the Laws of God that proclaim the fruit of mastership as the Master of the cycle, whether others are able to receive the declaration or not; though all are governed in the Divine Laws operation through the proclaimed Master of the cycle. The Master is the Pattern, the type Man-Woman after which others are fashioned.

Mastership is the act of mastering the forces of spirit, soul, mind and body to the underlying governing principles. These principles can be discovered only through becoming highly principled and masterful on the plane of one's advancement. By masterful, one means the act of controlling oneself and one's relation to all things as forces, and not to the control or domination of others which arises through lack of control of one's self. One cannot develop mastery and be consciously bound by limitations that make for inharmony and woe. The point to meet limitation is where it started, that is, in mind. All spiritual qualities are transposed to the mental plane according to the intelligence of man, and from this plane projected toward the world. The transposition of the things of the world to their equivalent mental forces is the first step toward preparation for spiritual advancement. Through reversing the thoughts and beliefs about the forces developed in the race-mind, egos change the mind and this leads to capacity to contemplate the Qualities of the Spirit. This step of progression opened the last century, preparatory toward identifying the Master of the cycle and the Principles of Mastership.

Man must work out a symbolical mastership before he works out its reality. This is done on the mental plane. Until one masters himself or herself and takes dominion over the forces of spirit, soul, mind and body, on the present plane of advancement, one is not able to make the next grade. One must develop the natural forces, the moral character, becoming highly reasonable and principled on the plane of natural living, before one is able to enter the spiritual path of advancement. It is the natural path, uncompleted, that holds the students in bondage, yet, they will invariably think and declare that they know many things when presented as spiritual ideas. One knows what one has lived and fulfilled so as to gain a further step of advancement, the same as one knows the first grade in school when one is ready for and entered into the second grade. No one knows anything on the spiritual plane that has not been completed on the natural, that is, it has been lived through, repulsed and renounced for the kingdom of heaven's sake. It is one thing to know in mind, and so one thinks one knows, and another to know in reality. It is possible to realize a truth mentally, but it is not a reality until actualized in the life and made a part of one's being.

The Science of Mastership

There are twelve centers of consciousness and all forces unfolding relate to these centers, directly or reversely. For example, Love is one of the twelve centers. All forces relating to Love and opposed to Love are reducible to the substance of the Love center, either through attraction and their promotion, or through repulsion and their annihilation. That which goes forward and is acceptable to the Spirit makes up immortality, and that which is not acceptable and is reduced to negation or nothingness makes up the essences of chaos or hell, with which Christ works to manifest the reality of spiritual being. The forces of matter, reduced to their energies, are used to give form and tangibility to the unfolded spiritual qualities; therefore it is the function of Christ, as Master, to control both heaven and earth, and that above the heavens and under the earth, so as to manifest the fruit of a cycle of progression. It is the burning-up of chaos or hell in the Laws of God that the fire is kindled that burns up mortality and transposes immortality into the character of eternal life and being, this being the ultimate end of one attained to mastership.

Science is the knowledge gained in relation to principles and has its operation through applied principles. It is present first in mind but becomes real and actual through being applied to the physical domain. Spiritual science is that which relates to mastership. It is the application of the Principles of Truth, but before the Principles of Truth can be known one must progress through the relative plane of mental science, applying the perceived ideas of light that they may lead to principled expression. When the mental faculties are principled in expression, and the natural plane is fulfilled by thought and love that point one to the spirit, one may be opened to the corresponding spiritual science. The mental science is in the perception of ideas that transcend the race mind, and their application to the life, by which one makes a symbolical representation of being what one perceives oneself to be. This is the idealizing that corresponds to the Divine Mind, by which It thinks into being what is to be before it is. The mental science that opened the last century was preparatory not only for the Science of Truth, but for the unfoldment of the Master of the cycle, and the universal establishment of the Principles of mastership. The tests and trials of attaining mastership are present with the identification of the Master of the cycle, for the same Laws that produce the Messiah operate to raise up those that are Christ's; hence, these are subjected to test, trial and temptation, that they may be proven to be grounded in spiritual intelligence and love, or still held in bondage to material thought and feeling. The absolute Science of mastership is contained in the universal operation of the Divine Laws, centered to the Master of the cycle, this affording all egos opportunity to be quickened in their unregenerate forces that they may master them, and so partake of the victory and fruit of Truth. Without this universal action of the Science of mastership, egos would be long periods of time working out the individual consciousness so as to attain Truth; in reality, independent and individual attainment of mastership is not the Plan of God, except in relation to the Two Witnesses of the Word, these Two culminating mortality with immortality, at which time the Great Test and Trial opens by which those having the potential wisdom and love of God may be proven and revealed as the first-fruit unto God and Christ. Especially does the Science of mastership center to the overcoming of the love of the flesh, for it is reversed to the Love of God; therefore, it follows if one will reverse himself or herself from the love of the flesh the Love of God will be gained, this opening one to that action of God, by which the knowing and being of Truth may be set up and the Master be declared.

The Master

Every cycle has a Master who is The Master, though like grades in the schools that transcend each other in sequential order, the masters of the cycles transcend each other. There are seven messengers or masters in the Adamic era, the first being the first Adam and the sixth the second Adam; or the first natural man, the second the spiritual man. However, the five preceding the sixth are aspects of mastership in processes of unfoldment, the sixth being the identified Master of the Adamic era, which era necessarily brought man closer to God and Christ than those preceding. God is ever unfolding more of its Intelligence and Love, hence consciousness when opened in the Word, is farther along the Path of advancement than that of the era preceding it, whether in the Adamic era or those preceding it. Eras are to God-Mind means by which Its Intelligence and Love are promoted in the planet, they representing great cycles of which the divisions of each cycle are the lesser, though above eras are greater cycles that mark the progression of the race, and the fulfillment of some phase of the Laws and Plan of God. The Master is the one who masters forces unfolding, subjecting them to Truth, or Christ, with which God connects to introduce more of its Intelligence and Love into the race. The belief that the Masters are the only source of infallible Truth is correct, but not as mortals expressing this idea think, for they believe they make puppets of themselves and come under the domination of some invisible so-called master; or else they give a listening ear to a psychic spirit attempting to ape a master, or in some other way gain knowledge without themselves being overcomers and entering into the mastery of the world, the flesh and the devil of their own consciousness. The Path of Mastership is set out in the teachings of the first-born Master of this planet, and those who follow Christ in the regeneration, putting on the virginity of consciousness and being, are not following any other so-called Master, but the one declared of God as governing the planet.

The first to arise from the sleep of death in which mortals on the planet Earth are bound becomes the first-born of every creature, therefore egos going forward in the unfolding Intelligence and Love of God must gain what was gained by the first one to awaken from the sleep in sin and death; as well as be the means by which the greater works of God, Christ, and Man are worked out. This is not a case of having something set upon the mind that the Master gained, but it is a case of going through such experiences of living as to be opened in the Principles attained, this giving added life and love and intelligence to one so opened. The man who made the first automobile paved the way for others to make them, but others must make them to have them for distribution; even so, the Man who paved the way to Mastership opened the path, but all who gain Mastership must walk that same path, becoming opened in that in which he was opened, so as to receive the benefit of the action of God, even as he. No one can be the first Master again, or the first to enter the Path of Mastership, though in the Divine Plan, until the second Master is raised, the first as Man and the second as Woman, egos are not able to enter into the complete Path of Mastership, for the Path would be uncompleted. God completes everything in Principles in the spiritual world, projecting the gained principles to the entire race in its universal processes, this permitting all who will to put on the fullness of virginity, or to put on the united male-female consciousness. But the male and female consciousness of man must be consciously gained in the Lord before the Lord can project it into the race for all to receive.

Naturally the Master does not appear until mortality is ready to complete its course, the identity of the first Master being the beginning of the spiritual domain, and the identity of the second Master being the end of the material world, and the physical revelation of the spiritual world that follows the natural. Degrees of mastership have been unfolded, preceding the time of the first Master, but not until God enters into consciousness, and consciousness into God, are the heavens and earth united, and the Will of God introduced into the domain of the race. The Master is Christ consciousness. Christ consciousness is the Qualities of God identified as Being, hence mastership is dependent upon the Principles of Being working out in the life of man. Some people like to think that Masters appeared in the form of Buddha, Swedenborg, Confucius, Bahai, St. Germain, Eddy, and some of ancient history who brought advanced messages of intelligence into the race, but such so-called masters were not acceptable to god as The Master. The Master is Christ Consciousness in which God is conscious of its Plan and Will, being directly active through the Master in projecting its Qualities into the spirit, soul, mind and body of egos in the planet. The Master is one in whom the Plan of God is opened through consciousness being conformed to the Plan through processes of living, loving, thinking; though any Master knows that it is cessation of thought, living and loving, as these characterize mortals, that opens one to know the Absolute Truth. It is understood that cessation of thought, living and loving is attained through a process of living death, by which the ego has superseded the activities of consciousness of self with the activity of the Divine Will and Mind, so as to let the Love of God spring up to reproduce its godly results. There are relative aspects of masters in relation to the religious and the spiritual, as there are masters on the plane of the material world, but the relative is only preliminary to the absolute. The Master is the absolute expression of Spirit, Soul, Mind and Body, or the absolute expression of the Inspiration of God-Mind, the Divine Love, the Truth, and the Divine Will, all these serving the entire race through the sacrifice of the Master to the Cause of God and Humanity.

One who has mastered the forces of spirit, soul, mind and body (will) so as to be opened in the understanding that issues from the Almighty, is taught of God and not by men. It is a phase of the Plan of God that any Light of Truth opened to anyone is through that one expressed toward the race, this giving rise to teachers and printed literature; but the absolute expression of the Master is not in words, spoken or written, but in the living of the Life and the expression of the Love by which God serves the entire humanity. This embraces the expression of the mystical Plan of God and its Laws, which is understood absolutely and purely only by the Master, him-herself. The Master is always male- female consciousness for only one attained to the nature of God, as male and female, can receive the action of God and know the Truth through being the Truth. Mastership consists primarily of laying the axe at the root of the tree, transposing the love that makes man mortal to the spiritual quality by which he or she becomes immortal, and from this premise be opened to the action of Divine Love. It was the Love of God, given for the life of the race, that became in the race opposite in Quality to God (because of the opposite nature of race consciousness), thus becoming the love of the world. Hence, it is the mastering of the love of the world and the attainment of the Love of God that makes for the identification of The Master. The Master is the identification of Eden, through which the Plan of God is again quickened in the race unto the bringing forth of its fruit, but it follows that the second Witness of the Word, as the seventh Master, or messenger in Woman identity, must be before the children of God can be formed and brought forth. The sixth messenger projects the seed-energies of the Truth, by which the children are spiritually identified, but the seventh messenger, as Woman, gathers these seed-children and gives them tangible form and identity. However, they must be projected in a second crucifixion and death of the Christ Consciousness to be received by the potential children, who, still bound to the forces of sin and death must be liberated, before their redemption can occur.

The Two Witnesses of the Word constitute the two poles of Mastership, hence two poles of The Master. The Master is Christ, but Christ is identified, first as Man and second as Woman, this bringing all men and women, as well as all positive and negative forces of the universe under the authority of God and Christ. The Master as Man was identified in Jesus, and as Woman is identified at the end of mortality. It is God that declares the Master, but God's declaration comes in the form of use and service on the part of the Master, by which every atom of the race and of the universe is brought into subjection to the Divine Will and Plan. It does not need the recognition of men and women to declare the Master, though those are blessed who can witness Him-Her and receive a closer touch of the Divine Power and Presence. This witnessing, however, must come through the Spirit of Truth within, without which nothing of God can be perceived among men. Christ is not a word or a phantom, but a state of being, hence a consciousness conformed to the Principles and Laws of Being. Christ is not set down upon a consciousness though there is that which issues from God, through Christ, that is beyond the power of man or woman, as consciousness, to think or to feel. It is in the expressions of these Qualities that the gift of God is presented, yet consciousness must earn Christ through mastering all that is unlike the nature of Christ-Truth. Thus mastership is a conscious attainment, a faithful and conscientious overcoming of the forces of the spirit, soul, mind and body so as to supersede the natural with the spiritual, and the spiritual with the absoluteness of Truth.

Fourth Dimensional and Mastership

Mastership by which the Master is gained leads to the identification of the Fourth Dimensional Plane. The Fourth Dimensional is the nature of God, the eternal and omnipresent expressions. It is the limitless, without time or space. One who is unfolding mastership and putting on the Spirit of the Master, as Christ-Truth, is opened in the fourth dimensional because its activities are merited and earned. The fourth dimensional, as well as Christ consciousness, are never set upon anyone because he desires it, or seeks after it, for desiring anything, and seeking after anything deny the Omnipresence of God and all that is prepared for man. One is trained in the fourth dimensional by its unfolding Laws, even as one is trained in the knowing of the Truth by its Laws becoming active in the consciousness, so that Truth known is one with its being in the consciousness. There is no other way by which Truth is known, though many students think they know Truth by thinking, or think what they know is Truth when it has no bearing to the Principles and Laws of God; yet, all progression is valuable in its time and place by which faculties of consciousness are unfolded unto the attainment of Christ, the Truth. Students receive the Light of Truth, which realized as being, will open the knowing powers.

When one masters the limited forces of consciousness, on any plane of expression, all four planes are affected, until the spirit, soul, mind and body are conserved in the Intelligence and Love of God. This is the Love of the Lord gained, though this requires a conscious overcoming and mastering of the loves of the flesh by which man is made to be a mortal, and confined to the plane of mortality. The universal Science of Mastership, projected at the identification of the Master, and from him-her, offers students the opportunity to prove what is the nature of their developed intelligence and love. this opportunity comes in forms of tests and temptations as respecting their loyalty to their gained intelligence, while being tempted to partake again of the loves of the flesh and remain mortal. If they meet this test, they are eligible to pass the Flaming Sword and enter into Eden, but this is not in any way what mortals conceive it to be, for they associate it with all kinds of sexual orgies and debaucheries. Sex is a carrier of the forces of hell and death, but is subjected to Christ through overcoming the thought and feeling of mortal sense, hence it is Christ consciousness that knows the mystery of hell and death; otherwise, the mystery of sex.

The Love of God is projected into the race through the Deific Orgasm, an experience within the consciousness of one attained in Christ, and is in no way associated with the sexual activities; but because the Mystery of Christ-Truth and its Divine Love is gained through overcoming the sexual, the operation of the Divine Laws reflects toward the sexual the impressions of Christ, and people springing up in renewed animal feeling and thought, think themselves free to indulge again in that to which they are required to die, if they would meet the test projected in the Plan of scientific Mastership. Naturally, that used to form mortality is used to unform it, when it is controlled to God, through Christ. This applies to both sex and money, the two beasts of mortality, the first one making the mortal and the last one sustaining his mortality. Those ready to enter fully the spiritual path are tried and tested by means of sex, while the race, that is to put on its humanity, is tested by means of money; though both enter into the tests of the spiritually and racially progressing in some form, they being inseparable as to forces, but one or the other appears to dominate the consciousness. One who has attained to mastership and has been identified by God as the Master of the cycle overcomes all thought and feeling with the Truth and its Divine Love, making all relating to the thought and the love of the race to come to negation through this overcoming. Thus, Christ, the Master, is the savior of the world, gathering the lost sheep of the House of Israel, or those attained in realities of consciousness, as well as giving rebirth to the race and bringing it to the immortal premise.

Universal Masters

Universal Masters are planetary lords. A lord is a ruling power, identified in Divine authority. God is not person but Principles of Being, hence people do not receive appointment of God as though God selects or elects a particular person to perform His-Her Planetary Function. When consciousness conforms to the Principles of Being, through being in spirit and physical fact (not material) the Principles, that ego is elected of God and divinely appointed to function the Will and Laws of God in which is the Plan of God. The first ego to attain conformity to the Divine Will, in which is the Divine Plan for the race of the particular planet, becomes the identified planetary Lord. This is the only Master recognized of God. For this reason, the race has looked to Jesus and worshipped his spirit since the identification of Christ among men. The ascension of the Feminine Christ consciousness completes the mortal progression of the planet Earth and identifies the New Name of God, Christ and consciousness, that will in Male-Female Oneness, rule over the planet throughout immortality.

Every planet is created to express the unfolding Qualities of Being, each having its distinct Plan that is opened to it at the attainment of the first identified Master. The Masters of the planets, as lords of their particular planet, are interplanetary in their services, which is to say, that the Master of the planet Earth could receive the aid of the Masters of other planets at the time of the proving up of the mortality of the Earth. Other planets have proved up their mortality and entered into their higher grades, hence their Masters are qualified to aid in proving up this planet. Only the Master of the planet, in whom God through Christ is working, is opened to interplanetary aid, and many experiences through which such a one passes in the mystical initiation, that attends attained mastership and its universal service, come from the influences of the planetary lords. It follows if that which is above heaven is opened to the Master of the planet, that all planes of progression are opened and many people contact psychic spirits and the astral plane, both relating to death, hell and chaos, thinking themselves taught of masters. Masters are not playing around, entertaining would-be initiates, for they have entered into the Plan of Life and Being to become masters, and teach directly the hidden wisdom of Truth. Yet, until an ego has mastered the forces that relate him to the mortality of his own planet, he is not taught of God nor opened in Christ, nor is he contacting invisible Masters of other planets. It follows that only one attained in Christ, as God has identified Christ to be in a given planet, can communicate with the Masters of the other planets. Such a one is doing universal service and is the God-declared Messiah of the cycle, bearing allegiance only to Christ, the invisible Throne of God to Whom all Masters bear allegiance.

Allegiance to any other so-called master is the antichrist movement of forces that accompanies the movement of the Christ Function. The delusive symbol can deceive all but the elect, that is, consciousness opened to know God and Jesus Christ whom he hath sent, by which alone is the Power and Presence of God to all humanity. One attains mastership only that God and Christ may be served, but this service is in the Universal Name of the Word, identified by God, which is the further unfoldment of the Name of the Master identified as Christ's first coming in this planet. Thus the first and the second coming of Christ, by means of the Two Witnesses of the Word, fulfil mortality, establish immortality in potentiality for the race, and carry the spiritually progressing forward toward fulfillment of immortality by which they may perceive and enter into eternal life and being. The Body of Christ gained from the Parent Principle, as Man-Woman, makes up the members of the Hierarchy of God, identified that the kingdom of heaven may be in the earth, and the government of God be set up among men.

The universal action of mastership puts the race through the same process of growth as it has the individual gained in Christ, as the Master. It reduces the old man and builds up the new, but inasmuch as the race is the universal group, the Divine Laws deal with them as a group consciousness. Thus the reduction of the race's forces, as respecting Home, Church and State, the three factors of progression, is now going on at the same time that the Principles of Truth, as respecting these three factors, are working out. Thus as the old man dies the new man is made alive; as the personal decreases the spiritual increases, until that time of Divine decision, when mortality gives way to immortality and death is swallowed up of life; not as a theory of mind but in living outworking of Truth; as consciousness of Christ, identified through mastery of all the forces of the world, performs the Lord's services for God and all humanity.
