The Fourth Dimension

EOM Ida Mingle

The Fourth Dimension pertains to an unlimited state of consciousness. It transcends the third dimension. The third dimension pertains to height, length and breath, while the fourth dimension pertains to the four square The four square, when related to consciousness, is the polarized expression of united spirit, soul, mind and body. Each of these departments of consciousness is positive and negative in nature, and when these two poles are balanced there is polarization. The polarization of each of these departments of consciousness, viz., spirit, soul, mind and body by which oneness of consciousness is gained, is the Love of the Lord identified, as well as the fourth dimension. Paradoxically, the fourth dimension is the dimensionless; that which is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient.

The Eternal Nature the Fourth Dimension"

The Fourth Dimension is the character of the godman. This is the eternal nature of being in contradistinction to the immortal, the God identified human state. The eternal nature transcends the immortal even as the immortal transcends the mortal. It is that worked out by Christ, the Spirit of God, which has its beginning of operation in the immortal nature. The immortal is what is gained by the ego in conscious thought and controlled will, through mastering the mortal. In other words, the immortal is conscious consciousness, while the mortal is a subconscious progression of consciousness without the knowledge and love of the Spirit. The immortal is potentially the supremacy of good over evil and ultimately the attainment of spiritual good. Spiritual good is that which is good for all, and is measured by selfless service by which all immortals can be scientifically governed; for karma, the bugbear of mortal existence, is ended with the attainment of immortality. The law of sowing and reaping continues under the authority of the Divine Laws, but this is an unfoldment of the harmonies of God and their manifestation in the consciousness and life of man.

The attainment of spiritual good is the means by which Truth is opened, for spiritual good is the character of the selfless state. A selfless state has subjected itself to the Divine Will by dying to its selfknowledge and love, this marking the beginning of the unfoldment of the eternal nature of man. The eternal nature is that which opens in the unfoldment of Truth, revealing the Qualities of Being in a living way. That is to say, the Qualities of Being are identified in consciousness, in the life of their own principles, by which Truth is known. Truth is not thought into expression but is the mental perceptions of physically conceived activities of Being, the knowing of Truth being one with its being, or its action. This is the opening of Truth in a consciousness in whom the Laws of God are centralized for revelation, through passover from cycle to cycle. When the time has come for the next and fuller action of God, the Principles and Laws of God reveal the Qualities of Being in a consciousness suitable for that purpose. This consciousness is the Central Throne of the operation of Divine Laws. From it the Qualities of Truth gained as united spirit and body, or heaven and earth, are projected toward all who can receive them. This giving the receivers an opportunity to be opened in the being of the Qualities through the knowing of them; in reversal to the knowing of the Qualities opening from their being in the central consciousness. This involves the identification of Christ Consciousness and the mystical work of God among men, it having two identities, referred to in Scripture as the first and the second coming of Christ.

The Fourth Dimension is identified at the universal action of God by which the Qualities of Being are projected into the race from the completed individual, as the central Throne. However, the principles of the fourth dimension work out with the unfoldment of the Qualities of Being, for they are made known as the third dimensional forces of consciousness are subjected to Truth. It is the spiritual aspects of the fourth dimension that are projected with the Qualities of Being, as Christ, though the substanceessence of the physical is always present with the spiritual, this being comparable to the body to be formed from its image in the seed that is planted to bring it forth. The fourth dimension has its ultimate in the union of the spiritual and the physical by which man is embodied in an organism of form as God created him to be; hence, it is one with the gaining of the Body of Light, the invisible organism of the Christedman, and the body of white, the visible organism.

The eternal nature is the virginal state, the malefemale state of being. However, the spiritually advancing who attain to the relative immortality are potentially malefemale. This oneness of consciousness must be gained in reality to put on eternal life and being, by which is the fourth dimension. When the eternal nature is gained, the fourth dimension will not be something that one puts on and off, but will be the Godlike consciousness by which one will have the omnipresence of God, subject however, to its identified nature. Man in eternal character is not God but is Godconsciousness in manifestation, though when Man is genuinely identified He/She will have the Powers of God, for strange as it may seem, God is without manifested Power except through the identification of its Qualities in consciousness. This is the answer to those who continue to wonder why God does not do something in this unrighteous world, by which righteousness can reign. Man is the doing power of God, and when conformed to Divine Will, is the Will of God in action to redeem the race. It is in this manner that God can work out its heavenly Qualities that relate to the spiritually advancing, and its human qualities that relate to the racially advancing; though the spiritually advancing necessarily embody the human and the divine (heavenly), while the racially advancing must partake of the human qualities by which the divine may unfold.

Nature and Service of the Fourth Dimension

The Fourth Dimension is associated with the Powers of Projection that go forth from a consciousness, united in malefemale potencies. When completed, the fourth dimension is the means by which the body is taken up and is kept from corruption. This is the wordpicture that is woven about Christ's first coming and has led to the hope of bodily redemption. It was the body of the fourth dimension in which Jesus, in whom Christ was embodied, appeared after the resurrection to his disciples. It is the body of the Holy Spirit that is the Holy Ghost, Jesus invited his disciples to handle him and to ascertain that he was not a ghost, nor a spirit, "for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having". Spirit is a word used in the sense of ghost, as an apparition, for when Jesus walked on the sea, the disciples thought they were seeing a ghost. The Holy Ghost is the spiritualized essences of form made visible to the spiritually discerning, and in relation to Christ consciousness, reveals the reality of the body. This body was manifested on the spirit-physical plane at the first coming of Christ, but on the spiritualphysical plane at the second coming, for it was made tangible to the eyes of natural man in 1922, the beginning of the unfoldment of the Plan of the Second Coming of Christ.

It was in 1922 that the fourth dimension asserted itself, though it was in processes of revelation since 1916, as witnessed by the writer. The writer knew nothing about the fourth dimension in her early steps of spiritual unfoldment, therefore what she witnessed was the evidence of the Divine Principles and Laws at work in the unfoldment of the consciousness that she is. First, she had the experience of walking in rain without being wet, this being witnessed by two others, though this was in conscious realization of Omnipresence. Money was multiplied to her, as the law of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes of Biblical fame, brought down to date. And once a new quarter was manifested in response to the realization of the Truth, "Your need is supplied when your need is apparent." Several times she saw weather brought under control, this being witnessed by an audience on one occasion. The need of a coathanger, without the tendency to seek it in material ways, brought it out of the invisible. Purchasing a box of strawberries, the writer saw through them, as so many cells in circulation, and discovered a lot of rotten berries in the bottom of the box to the discomfiture of the clerk who kept asking "How did you know those rotten berries were in the box?", to which the writer continued to reply, "It is my business to see through things." This came at a time when the writer was seeing through things, that is, seeing through the things of the world in relation to ideas of Truth unfolding. All of these experiences, however, being the result of outworking Principles of Truth in the life of the writer, and were unsought because not known until experienced.

The Fourth Dimension was evidenced again to the writer in a more exterior way when in an automobile accident in the summer of 1935. Realizing she was going speedily over an embankment from eight to ten feet in its slope (and so steep that she could not later walk up the embankment), she was lifted above the world thought or consciousness, and consciously darted, like a bird would dart, out of her body, but as the car stopped through the difficulties encountered, darted back, coming into the middle of the chest region, like an object thrown would hit the body, at which time she stepped out of the car in a spirit of exaltation and glorification, as though something more important than worlds or cars had been accomplished. In fact, this was one pole of a current of force as involuntary violence, that was met within thirty days of meeting the other pole, that of voluntary violence, incidental to surgery.

It is well to state here, for the sake of the students who continually agitate why the spiritually advanced must be subjected to the hellish forces of the world in some form or another, and especially one in whom the Truth is unfolding, that unless the forces of the world were subjected to the Qualities of Truth through subjecting one in the Qualities of the Truth to the world, there would be no introduction of the Powers of God into the race, hence no benefit of God to the race, when revealing Itself and Plan in one conformed to its Principles and Laws. This is an exact science and must be spiritually understood, and not agitated against. This truth is contained in I Cor. 15: 2728 and works out according to the time of unfoldment of the Principles and Laws of God, hence, would be in twentieth century methods today. The spiritually advancing are persecuted for the kingdom of heaven's sake, and are subjected to trials by which they are made to suffer in the Will of God for the sake of Christ's outworking, but it remains for Christ consciousness, who has the keys to Hell and Death, to partake of the sins of the world in such manner as to overcome them. This was evident in the first coming of Christ, in the crucifixion, and the second death, incidental to the second coming of Christ, is also attended with the likeness of the first death in order that the likeness of the resurrection may be attained. If one identified in Truth or Christ was not subjected to the forces of Hell and Death how could the forces of Hell and Death be subjected to Truth or Christ? Yet, it is evident that this subjection is in the Laws of God, that perform their services at the time of the subjection, and that finally take judgment against the forces of antichrist to effect their complete annihilation. Let no student throw stones at one who performs the Christ service by which all who will, may go free from the elements of Hell, and be raised into the divinehumanity, by which God can establish the kingdom of heaven in the earth. "Blessed is he, whosoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me," in the words of Christ's expression, can be considered by all who are tempted to judge by appearances, and thereby judge themselves in these matters that relate to the outworking of Divine Principles and Laws.

If those who think they love and know the Truth were really in the knowing and being of Truth, which is the Love of Truth, there would be much less persecution directed toward the Christ Function. For these make up Jerusalem "who killeth the prophets and stoneth them that are sent unto her ...ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." Luke 13: 3435 A.R.V. Those who make up the church or the spiritually advancing, come under the chastening first, for the descent of the Christed Consciousness, in the handling of the forces of sin, hell, and death, contains not only the Law of the Cross of Christ, by which a universal service is rendered, but also the law of chastening, by which potential individuals are prepared to come into immortality. If the spiritually advancing are made to suffer as Christians, in the will of God, they should know they are accounted worthy to receive the action of the Living God, rather than be in repulsion toward Truth and its Throne of action that is rendering them a service by chastening them. If the chastening were not needed because the love and being of Truth were already gained, Christ would not need to suffer so greatly. For the necessity of suffering is in penetrating the lying consciousness of mortality that is antichrist in spirit. The lies have their height of advancement in those purporting to love the Truth and who are still identified in the untruth that is in them, which is the chief adversary to Christ. While the conflict attending the Projection of ChristQualities as Consciousness into the race, both spiritually and materially advancing is a necessity until mortality is completely overthrown, it is attended with Judgment and violence in overthrowing the forces that are opposed to the character of God and Christ. This overthrow being necessary to permit the establishment of the kingdom of heaven in the earth.

The Fourth Dimension is spiritually functioned before it is physically experienced. Its absolute fulfillment can come only when the eternal nature is put on, this being the finishing touches put to consciousness in the gain of Christ, in the performance of the services of God. A student who witnessed the operation of the fourth dimensional Law asked the writer if she knew she was in the fourth dimension. The writer replied, "You know what worked out in me," for this student knew of the experiences herein related. She said, "The other day I was out to a farm and I received a severe fall. I do not know what made me call your name, but I said Ida Mingle, three times, and you stood beside me, picked me up, and I was healed." This occurred in 1920 or 1921. In 1922, when the Divine Laws moved to universalize their Qualities as omnipresent Power in the race, the writer was projected through the wall of her room, into the hall, going out of the apartment under the window in the hall, being transformed into the Image and Form of an EYE. She was introduced into the Cherubim, which is full of EYES, these being in a pitchdark enclosure corresponding to the universe itself, oval in shape, and lighted only by the EYES that darted with lightning rapidity from one end of this enclosure to another. The writer, as an EYE, made two trips across the enclosure, and came back through the same spots of the building to take up embodiment in her body that was lying on the daybed, but in darting into the body hit it with such rapidity as to knock it against the wall, A guest present noticed it and said, "Are you asleep," at which the writer raised up and said, "European War in Chicago," which was a figure in words of the call going forth from all the EYES in the enclosure of the opening of the "War in Heaven'' that began at that time and has continued since in more or less fire of Hell and Heaven, though being culminated with the outworking results since September 16, 1936.

Sometime in January, 1937, the writer in a semiconscious state, in which the Invisible Plan of Divine Works can be witnessed, was identified in the fourth dimension. She darted hither and thither, in conscious consciousness of the journeying; and upon arising was in the realization of the fourth dimension so vividly as to make it much more real to her all day than the outside world in which she still resided. This was revealed in connection with an idea embracing the principle, of "taking up the body that it might not see corruption" and gives fuller hope of the fulfillment of the promises of God, contained in Its Covenant, written upon the heart and in the mind of those unfolding in the Divine Laws. It was immediately after the automobile accident, from which the spirit of the writer departed as an EYE, though the EYE of the consciousness is Christ in which is the real body, that she was made aware of the principle of eternal life as regarding the body that now is.

Through overcoming the love and mind of the flesh, egos are established in the Lord, whether they die or live, and if taken from this plane are untouched by the experience. This is to say that one who has mastered the forces of the world, so as to be identified in Truth as Christ consciousness, does not die no matter how the passing from this plane occurs; but the gaining of the fourth dimension is absolutely dependent upon the completion of the third dimensional plane in conscious consciousness. The fullness of the fourth dimension, in God's order and time, is the conscious union of the spirit and the body, by which birth and death are entirely overcome; though there is the possibility of the manifestation in the omnipresence, in the new world in which God and Christ reign, of the form of the fourth dimensional ego, as the Body of Light and the body of white, as witnessed by the writer in I922, and in which she was identified.

Symbolical Fourth Dimension

The symbolical precedes the reality as a shadow of the real, and is first cognized by mortal man. The symbolical has two poles of expression, negative and positive. First it is the idea of the fourth dimension that is developed, even as the last century saw the development of the idea of Truth, though many are called to promote the idea of Truth and few chosen to gain the Truth at the end of mortality. The symbol of the fourth dimension has been promoted by Theosophy in the attempt to project the body through space while in a subconscious state of sleep. This has been developed among some Rosicrucian societies, as well as by many occult societies of the eastern continent, where the symbolic impression has a more direct hold upon the consciousness through Christ's first coming being in the east. The symbol is never the reality, never the truth, but it is the phenomenal aspect of an idea entertained by the racial mind, when conditions of advancement permit.

The symbolical fourth dimension, worked out in ideas, invites the cooperation of the thought of many people. This being preparatory to its actual identification in its own Laws of progression, in one completed in the third dimensional plane; that is, completed in the limited concepts of mortal living and identified in the Christ Mind that is gained through putting off the mind of the flesh. The ascension on the sea of racial thought, though in its advanced current, of the Ballard movement, to which fourth dimension is attributed at this time, is but another action of the symbol at the time of the outworking of the reality. The writer has looked into the books of the Ballard movement, as well as heard from students of their activities, and can give due credit to it for developing in renewed belief the idea of the fourth dimension; though aside from this idea, its teachings are a rehash of the New Thought teaching. But the introduction into a consciousness of the fourth dimension through an invisible master is only a symbolical outworking, and is not the reality of the fourth dimension, that is gained when the Truth is working out in a livable manner in a consciousness. The symbol is the delusion, the reality is the Truth, and both work out together, like the advancement of the spiritually enlightened is attended by a higher advancement of the race mind.

Invisible Masters are planetary lords, who graduating from the planets in which they have been identified in the Creative Plan, aid in bringing the consciousness of people on planets that are nearing graduation into closer contact with the outworked Laws; but one only graduates from a planet who attains to the Christ goal, set from the foundation of the planet and becomes a Throne of Universal Power of God, by which the entire planet is spiritually benefited. In other words, every graduating ego must be, as Christ, given for the life of the race, and thus being emptied of all for Christ's sake, may be filled with the Allness of God, which is the graduation. The occult side that opens with the mystical is an outer reflection of what is mystically working out, even to the capacity to ape the works of the mystical, except in the attainment of eternal life and consciousness. The occult brings down to date what has worked out in the ages past. The works of Manly Hall being a good example of such a service, as well as brings to the light of racial mind what is now working out, as is being done by the Ballard movement. This is not to say that those who promote the occult representation partake of the reality they picture in words. The mystical pictures itself in reality, in living Principles, in the life of one conformed to Divine Laws, and gives the wordpicture in Truth, in which words are the Powers of the Principles that have worked out to make themselves known, by which the Principles may be made alive in those who receive the words. "The words which ye hear are not mine, but the Father's who sent me." The Father is the Laws of Being by which the Principles are applied in the consciousness. The applied Principles give rise to the knowing of Truth, hence the words of Truth expressed have in themselves the power to work out the Principles in those who can receive them, even as the Principles working out produced the words or their knowing. This is reality and Truth, the Word made flesh, a living state of being.

The symbol is never the reality but a representation in ideas, conveyed to the outer mind in the race, at the time the Principles of Reality are working out in the inner Mind. The symbols are set forth by the occultists, the principles are worked out by those in the mystical operation of the Truth. The symbol is the darkness, the reality is the Light, though the darkness is attended with its own pole of light (that is also darkness) as to what is believed about the fourth dimension. But belief is not always translated in the believer into works or fruits, and then only when the symbol is forsaken for the reality. Students who spend their time in mulling over the symbols, when the same time might be spent in contacting the spirit of the reality of Principles of Truth and the fourth dimension, prove that they love the darkness better than the Light. There is always a group of socalled advancing that is ready to grab everything for themselves, but they do not intend to do anything by which they are made to conform to the requirements of the Divine Principles, and these make the greatest noise in the race mind as to their accomplishment. The writer has always greatly refrained from stressing the effects of Principles lest students be encouraged to connect with the School for what they can experience, for the work of the School is to draw those who have the love of the Truth and are willing to subject themselves to it, but no one has witnessed in a more livable way the outworking Principles than the writer; therefore the ideas of Truth expressed are not abstractions but realities. She feels that the time has now come when the boldness of the Word is to express in all directions, and the hidden things of Truth are brought to light, as well as the hidden forces of darkness. Yet, the effects of Principles are always offered as evidence of their Truth to those who can be encouraged to seek its fullness of expression, and not to exalt the works of Truth; for the works, when completed, are Man, in spiritual body, to which purpose the Divine Laws set themselves from the foundation of the world.

Symbols, which become offenses when not understood in relation to Truth, must be, for occasions of stumbling must need be that students may determine whether they know the Truth or love the lie. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven." In the symbolical outworking of the ideas of Truth, all kinds of ideas pass as Truth until its adulteration is more prevalent than its purity, but back of this adulterous scene presented to the race the last century, is the reality of Truth outworking. Even so, back of the adulterous thought of the fourth dimension and those who promote its symbology, the reality of the fourth dimension has been working out, gathering those who attain the virginal state of consciousness, by which spirit and body are united in service to God and humanity. However, the fourth dimension is a characteristic of eternal life and is not a function of immortality. This is to say that one must have reached the point of graduation from the necessity of further birth and death, completing immortality, to be identified in eternal life. The symbolical aspect of the unfolding Principle of fourth dimension is revealed on the plane of advancing mind, but until mind is identified in the Mind of the Spirit the reality of the fourth dimension cannot begin to work out. The outworking Mind of the Spirit results in the Christ Mind, in which the fourth dimension is one with Universal Laws of Projection, that cross the Qualities of Truth into the race, at the same time opening the conflict of forces of Light and darkness, by which the race mind is subjected and made ready for spiritual unfoldment.

There is a low symbolical reflection of the plane of spirits, as represented by the psychic and its relation to the current of death. These spirits may appear as apparitions or ghosts to those who are able to support their revealment, but this is in no way related to the fourth dimensional and the presence of those functioning its powers. Those promoting the fourth dimension do so in the symbol, through borrowed powers, or in reality through the Power of Christ working out within the consciousness; while those in the psychic planes who are called into form are subconscious in activities and from the plane of death. When it becomes possible for the fourth dimension to function it is well to make a line of division between these two poles, and to bear allegiance only to the unfoldment of that which is of Christ. The psychic plane of forces must be overcome before mentality is properly substantial on the natural plane, which is necessary to permit genuine enlightenment in connection with the spiritual; therefore, the psychic does not in any way relate to the fourth dimension. Psychic sorcery has its counterpartal high reflection in symbolical fourth dimension, which too is attended with delusion and darkness, but both of these poles of forces are outlawed in the presence of the reality of the fourth dimension.

Planetary Lords and Invisible Masters

A Planetary Lord is an ego who graduates from the planet into the consciousness of Christ, and entering into the eternal nature, is eternally identified Principles of being. Such a consciousness is vested with Powers of God by which both heaven and earth are influenced toward a fuller unfoldment of the Divine Plan. Planets represent in distinction the movements of God and produce their own planetary Lords, in whom is the authority of Divine government. The revelation of Christ's second coming in the planet Earth marks the identification of the Principles and Laws of God in the earth, as in heaven. This is the beginning of the revelation of Man (race) as God created him to be. An individual first attained to conformity to the Divine Plan becomes the Lord of the planet, as well as the Standard of attainment for all who follow after, hence, "the first born from the dead," becomes the "firstborn of every creature," who arises from the dead (mortal progression).

A Planetary Lord becomes an Invisible Master, and each planet has its Invisible Masters whose influences penetrate the planet, not as from the invisible plane but as from the plane of life where victory over death was made. The Word made flesh and dwelling among men becomes the identified Throne of government in a planet. This centered to Jesus, in whom was Christ, the union of both being Jesus Christ, the means by which the Laws of God are projected into the race, and the action of Divine Qualities controlled. The identification of Christ's second coming is in the new name of God, Christ, and Man, and contains the fuller outworking of the Plan of God for the race. When a planet is to be redeemed from mortality and a new order established, as immortality, invisible masters aid in proving up a planet, and it is at this time that they may aid in symbolizing the Principles and Laws of God working out, that the mass of people may be educated and expectancy toward Reality increased, that it may be received. The only God recognized invisible master is Christ within the consciousness, and it is the attainment of Christ that establishes the reality of the fourth dimension, by which the Universal Plan of God for all may go forth to give rebirth to the race. When people look to another, other than the ChristWord of the planet, they look in vain, as to actual accomplishment, though others may aid in developing expectancy toward the Reality working out. Egos becoming enamored of St. Germain or any other socalled master, not established as the Lord of the planet, are serving on the racial plane but are not direct agents of God in the establishment of the kingdom of heaven in the earth. "Whosoever goeth onward and abideth not in the teaching of Christ, hath not God: he that abideth in the teaching, the same hath both the Father and the Son. If any one cometh unto you, and bringeth not this teaching, receive him not into your house, and give him no greeting: for he that giveth him greeting partaketh in his evil works." The New Thought School of religion is especially adulterous in its mixture of forces and reflects a racial progression that is necessary, but that it does not directly inhere in Christ, places it with the ``evil works'' that are positively expressed; though the Old School of religious thought is negatively positioned in the "evil works" in its ignorance of the Truth; except where in both groups there are those who earnestly seek the living knowledge of the Truth and its activity to transform the mortal to the immortal quality. These are the spiritually advancing, by which Truth is supported and revealed, and, who make up the Church, the Body of Christ, by which is the righteous State of being.
