Truth: Science: Religion: Healing

Truth, Science, Religion and Healing interrelate in such a way as to progress the consciousness of man to the goal, set from the foundation of the world. Truth did not enter the race until the first coming of Christ, but it was not until the Light of Mind began to be known, preparatory for the second coming of Christ, that Science arose in its true state to progress the race more rapidly toward its goal. The Science of Religion also arose with the Light of Mind, introducing new forms of healing in and promoting the physical world in such a way as to develop the need of higher healing methods, The Science of Religion as mental development called forth the Science of Healing as the corresponding evidence on the physical plane of a higher advancement, The Science of Mind, as Religion, brought consciousness to the Science of the Spirit, as the Truth, and the New Order, as Immortality began: even though we are still in the midst of the overthrow of mortality and its accumulation of error.

Truth and Science

Truth is the Source of all that partakes of the Plan of Life and its expressions, while Science is the objectification on the plane of the physical of what has been mentally developed because of the movement of Truth. Truth moves in consciousness, that is, in Man or in Woman, projecting itself toward the physical domain as Science; but primarily, advancement that partook of the nature of the Laws of the Spirit, unfolding naturally, reflected itself as a kind of a Science that did not issue from Truth. Thus we have had a reflected Science and are only now presented with aspects of the reality of Science in the form of higher understanding of the physical and healing methods. The reflected Science is material because it is what the materially evolving minds have worked out from the Light of the Spirit that reflected itself in the darkness and caused a higher expression of mortal intelligence to arise. The reflected Science embraces healing by drugs, which held its place in the race for a long period, though showing some improvement in its own domain as the racial consciousness developed, Osteopathic, Chiropractic, Naprapathic forms of healing indicated a higher natural intelligence and reflected the movement of Science to disturb the drug system of healing that had so long characterized the low progression of the race. One cannot separate healing from Science any more than one can separate Science from Truth.

Truth has its relative aspects of unfoldment by means of mental and spiritual enlightenment that relate to the Plan of Life underlying all progression, for Truth is before all things as well as being the ultimate of all things. Truth is the ultimate of all things, but to gain Truth one must turn from things to the ideas underlying them, and relate ideas to principles underlying them to rightly discern the nature of the objective world. The capacity to do this opens one to the aspects of Science that are progressed with the aspects of Truth, though this is the Science of Mind that leads to the Science of the Spirit, by which Truth has its being. Truth identifies itself because consciousness, through the Science of Mind, has mastered darkness and error, and is the gift of God, and not the works of man. Man puts forth efforts to know the Truth mentally, but the mental efforts prepare consciousness to know the Truth through the Spirit of Truth that is innate within consciousness, and which becomes being because consciousness lives what it knows; that is, puts on being, Truth embraces Wisdom and Love as one, though these embrace Understanding and Will as one. Understanding, the capacity to know, and Will, the capacity to do, united as one make for being, or identify self-consciousness in which the I is master of all things. The Science of Truth is spiritual science which is the real Religion. But since understanding relates to mind, and will to the body, the progression of the mind and the body are as one, this giving rise to healing methods in keeping with the unfoldment of the consciousness. There is that aspect of Science that relates to invention and discovery of knowledge pertaining to the chemical or physical world, that serves the race, both giving rise to healing methods as well as to other forms of services for the race. Science is the application on the plane of the physical of principles mentally perceived and conceived that issue from the Spirit, giving rise on the plane of mind to the Science of Religion and on the plane of the body to the Science of Healing. However, the Science of Healing, religiously promoted, is the Science of Harmony, that is, a knowledge of how to think, feel, speak and act so as to project harmony toward the domain of the body. This is the Science of Health though it has its limitations on the plane of the mortal body, because the mortal body does not directly inherit the fruit of the kingdom of heaven, that is, of spiritual laws and principles, for it is appointed to limitation and bondage under the Plan of Life. When Immortality is actually established, people will live in harmony because they will conform to the Science of Health through thinking, feeling, speaking and doing in keeping with the innate Principles and Laws of their being. Such an expression of harmony is Religion, Science and Truth.

Science is both mental and physical, The mental Science embraces the Science of Mind, which leads to Religion with spiritual healing, while physical Science embraces higher healing methods that relate to the race consciousness, as well as higher forms of invention and scientific discoveries pertaining to the bodily plane. The Science of Mind results in Religion on the inner plane and Scientific State on the outer plane, thus uniting Church and State as the Spirit and Body of each other, Scientific State includes the Science of Finance or Supply as well as the understanding that places all responsibility with the Individual, as the center of both State and Church, The Science of the Body unfolds with the Science of Mind, therefore higher healing methods are formulated on the plane of Science. These higher healing methods include the use of electricity, diathermy, the Violet Ray, Infra Red and Sunshine Rays, the X-Ray, Radium, the Radio Ray and the Cosmic Ray, all of which promote a service to the people, according to their capacity to receive their healing effects. These things have not happened by chance, but are the gifts of Truth in its direct or indirect movement in the consciousness of Man or Woman. The Cosmic Ray, which is the highest healing now known to man, came in with Christ, and is present only because Christ, the Spirit of Truth, has generated itself into the cosmos of the universe to make new heavens and new earth, or new spirits and new bodies, by which people are prepared to inhabit the New Order of Immortality, The Radio Ray or Wave is the scientific aspect of the Science of Mind, while the Cosmic Ray is the scientific aspect of the Science of Spirit.

Religion and Science

Religion when it is actually identified is scientific. This is not to say that metaphysics, the science of mentality that opened the last century, was the Science of Mind for it was only a preparation for the opening of the Science of Mind, which comes through the Laws of the Spirit and not through the might of man. Metaphysics was the control of the material physical by means of the natural mind, and signified at this time the John the Baptist that went before to prepare the way of Christ (Science of Spirit: Truth). The metaphysical gave a truer comprehension of religion and took it out of the plane of the superstitious and idolatrous, premising it to the plane of Science. That the aspect of the Science of Healing arose from the Science of Mind is not startling when one understands the import of God creating the heavens and the earth through one action, that is, dealing with the spiritual and the bodily at the same time. The Science of Mind is the spiritual though metaphysics was preliminary toward the development of that Science, hence turned consciousness from the "testimony of the senses" to the testimony of the Spirit. The healing that arose with metaphysics was not entirely spiritual healing, but the effect of ideas of Mind, in which was an awakened power toward the body to promote harmony. The Science of Healing comes with Truth and is the Science to govern the body, both individual and racial, or the physical and the governmental. Hence, the Science of Healing involves harmony, as to the individual body and the financial harmony as to the racial body (government).

The Science of the Individual is the Science of the State, because it is the science of a harmonious state of being, governmentally; for individuals live in a nation and under government, hence, each one scientifically premised before the Laws of Life is for the nation to also be scientifically premised, as a State, in which all can live and move and have their being, according to the Plan of God. Religion is one with the Science of the Individual, hence is one with the Science of State. A harmonious state of being is a religious state of being, for it is a consciousness of spirit, soul, mind and body attuned to the Law of Love. The attainment of the Love of the self in the Lord, or Laws of one's being, is the attainment of the Love of the Neighbor. The expression of the Love of the Neighbor is possible only in a Scientific State. The Scientific State embraces also the science of supply. The opening the last century of the Laws of Life, by which people could promote health and prosperity, through the science of thought, feeling and conduct, actuated, by mental and spiritual Science, was a forerunner of the outworking by Truth of a scientific expression of the body, physically as to health, and financially as to supply.

Religion comes from the root words meaning to tie again. To tie again means that something has been untied, That which has been untied is consciousness from its God, this being the primal tying by which the Plan of Life, as God intended it to be unfolded, can be known and can work out. This tying embraces the union of the Male and the Female Poles of Being which became separated in the sexual creature, by which Truth is actually known and being. This tying is symbolized by the tying of males and females in marriage in order to sanctify them on the planes of State and Religion. It is Truth that sums up all the activities of living in relation to inner Principles and Laws, and which shows all things to be right in their time and place as a means of growth and development; though at the same time it shows that not anything is right before God except that which conforms to the Plan of Life. Religion is in thinking in keeping with the Plan of Life, which is one with acting in keeping with the thought. Action has its expression on the plane of spirit, soul, mind and body, hence Religion is an expression of living. It may have its inception in faith that there is a Plan of Life to be found that points consciousness to the supremacy of good over evil, but when that Plan is found it is the conforming of the forces of spirit, soul, mind and body to actualize ideas, principles and laws, which is the true expression of Religion. Yet prior to the capacity to know the Plan of Life, egos can be assured that they are indirectly conforming to it, when they think, feel, speak and act in keeping with the highest known, by which the individual good and the good of others are promoted. This is to be true to oneself and to offset hypocrisy. By coordinating the forces of spirit, soul, mind and body to an expression of good, one invites a greater knowing which in turn forces a greater doing, the two as one promoting a state of being that can finally be prepared to know the Truth.

The Plan of Life is the Plan of Religion. Religion is not a sentiment except among the lesser progressed, but is a Science. Science, known to materialists who separated it from religion, has a kind of existence only because a kind of a religion was progressing in the race, but when the time had come for a real Religion to open, through consciousness being tied again to the Spirit of God, a kind of Science is superseded by a real Science that has only the last half century penetrated the consciousness of the race with its benevolent gifts. This Science has raised the standard of living outwardly, and the standard of thought inwardly, (for consciousness grows both ways, that is, by developing outwardly toward the within, and inwardly toward the without). The totality of inner development is Religion, and the totality of outer development is Science, the two being one in the Plan of Life. The ultimate of Religion and Science united in Scientific Church and State, individualized and universalized.

Healing and Science

All healing of a genuine nature is scientific, There is a temporary form of healing in keeping with a temporary kind of Science and Religion that has been brought forth through material effort, though it is quite possible that the last condition was worse than the first, if we could have seen the effects of accumulated drugs in the system. Yet, people had to be healed and the drug system of healing sprang up to answer the need, because it conformed to the nature of the people. As the people advanced healing methods advanced also. Healing is necessary because of the mortal nature and the living under the law of sin and death, which is the law of dissolution of the mortality. Where this dissolution becomes excessive, and balance between the poles of the cells is thrown out, disease is identified and need for healing arises. If healing has been of a low nature it is because the low nature of consciousness demanded healing of that kind, hence low forms of healing are not condemned. Even now, there may be people low in vibrational energies who need healing of a low nature, but it is very evident that there are people of highly developed energies who need a higher method of healing. Shall the low system of healing, centered to drugs, persecute and attempt to control the higher methods of healing? When they do they defy the Plan of Life, God, the people, and prove that they are too ignorant to pursue the system of healing even on the low plane, for on this plane people must be open to progression. If they oppose progression in any direction they oppose progression in themselves. Why should doctors, who claim to serve the people, in the hope of making them well or harmonious, oppose any method of healing that will make people harmonious? There is only one answer, and that is commercial greed and desire for healing monopoly so that the income derived will go directly into their treasury. There is as much graft, trickery and deceit in the healing professions, especially as respecting the use of drugs, as in any other direction of mortal living, each individual is a law unto himself before the Plan of Life, and while the mortality of one is the mortality of all, it follows that certain forces formed the individual and any healing must be especially, individual in its application. It is possible for one to become so high in energy rate as to not respond to the energy rate of the drug system of healing. It is possible for one to become so electrical in energies as to make electrical healing agents of no avail. Even Radio Wave, a high form of healing, is destructive and devitalizing if not properly attuned to the consciousness of the individual seeking healing. The higher healing methods, however, are of necessity in the hands of the more advanced healing agents, but these also have to find the true method of applying the healing trusted to them.

Spiritual healing is in a class of its own. It operates in connection with forces of consciousness that have produced wrong combination of energies, through wrong processes of mind, soul and body. It is a well known and authenticated fact that certain inharmonious conditions of the body are the result of inharmonious thought and feeling. Take the person who worries habitually, and you will find a highly devitalized nervous system, a depleted vitality, and usually one lacking flesh on the bones to act as a shock against the material energies of the race and the planet, hence one inclined to be pelted by the psychic forces that exist in the subconsciousness of the race. Through centering the mind upon spiritual ideas that make for peace and poise, and through exercising the will to master the tendency to worry, people so antagonized can free themselves and enter into a better state of health. This is a sample of mental or metaphysical healing, though there is that aspect of metaphysical healing that draws closer to the Spirit and invites its healing influences. Everything on the physical plane has a two-fold aspect, the positive and the negative. The negative metaphysics gave rise to mental healing, auto-suggestion. New Thought methods and many forms of healing that served their purpose, but were of no greater permanent value than healing by drugs. The positive aspect of metaphysical healing that embraces some kind of a contact with the Spirit, according to one's faith and devotion, characterized the Christian Science movement, but the fact is that Christian Science was not nor is the full expression of the Science of Mind and Spirit, though in its time of discovery and fundamental activity it was a light to the world, and a benediction to those who had been so long controlled by the forces of matter (materiality). But Christian Science and its healing have been long superseded by Truth with its method of healing, which is not for the purpose of offering a temporary system of relief to the individual and the race, but to offer a method of living by which genuine harmony and financial well-being can be attained. That aspect of Science that opened as health and prosperity becomes, when the Science of Truth is applied to the individual and to the racial group, the Science of Harmony and Supply.

Healing is the revelation on the plane of the physical of the application of Science to the plane of mind, when it is spiritual in nature. When healing is scientific in nature, it is the result of the revelation on the plane of the body of the outworking of Truth, for Science is the handmaiden of Truth to carry over to the plane of the race what has been unfolded on the inner domains of consciousness. The science that gave us the electric light was the result of the light of mind that the Spirit had unfolded in consciousness, even though the inventor was not necessarily unfolding in the light of mind and of the Spirit. There is always picked up on the plane of Science what has been projected from the plane of the Spirit or Truth, this carrying over in service to the race the physical result of the outworking spiritual. This is an objectification of the principle of spiritual healing, which is the direct revelation on the plane of the body of the unfolding light of Mind and Spirit. The enactment within the consciousness, called realization, of a spiritual truth, is the automatic penetration of the physical domain of the energy of the truth realized; therefore every spiritual truth realized regenerates the consciousness, harmonizing the forces of mind, soul and body. It follows that when occasion for healing arises in one spiritually unfolding, that it must be of a higher nature than that demanded by the nature of one not so progressed. Yet, students of the things of the Spirit err in not dividing the consciousness aright, and in thinking that the entire mortal nature is subject to the Laws of God. Whereas, if the Laws of God could introduce themselves into the mortality it would cause the mortality to be eternalized, and the ego to be bound forever to the limitations that mortality necessarily embraces. God has not provided the mortality for healing but for dissolution in the face of the spiritual, by which a new creature can be formed who will not suffer, sin, nor die.

Healing is as progressive as anyone in the consciousness of the race, and those who fight the higher methods of healing show themselves to be lacking in progression. There are all kinds of healing from drugs to hypnotism, some of them arising from confused intelligence but all serving in some form or another. Healing is not to be labeled scientific unless it issues from the Science of Mind, or has been revealed through the Science of the Spirit. Material healing necessarily attends the material progression of the race, and has its present aspect as drugs, though on lower planes of racial development it may have centered to the eating of sheep manure, snakes and the like. The methods of inoculating people with disease germs may date from this low form of material healing, though certain inoculations are of temporary service. The arising of spiritual healing opened the door for higher methods of healing, with people having the privilege of finding systems best suited to their needs, when seeking remedies for physical woes. Many forms of faith healing relate to racial religions, and are gained through soul stimulation and religious ecstasy. Some have the gift of healing, the "laying on of hands," and when one considers that we have the accumulated results of mortality with us, it follows that we would have many different methods of healing, each commendable in its time and place to relieve from suffering. One can see that healing changes according to the development of the people when one considers there was a time, not so far distant, when it was thought by religionists that healing was wicked, and that pain was a visitation from God for sins committed. There are still some religionists (men) who think that women should bear children in pain, that it is good for their souls. All forms of healing, except those that issue directly from the Laws of the Spirit are worked out in the minds of men, hence are of no higher development than their own intelligence. People who do not advance intelligently in any real way oppose and belittle the higher methods of healing, thereby registering their ignorance before God and man.

What is the Truth

The question, what is the Truth, has been thought by many to be unanswerable but these partake of the nature of Pilate, who not knowing the Truth refuse to believe that anyone can know it. This is a form of self righteous egotism that is not uncommon among religionists, who standing in the door to the real Church refuse to go in themselves or to step aside so that others may enter. Jesus said to Pilate, "Everyone that is of the Truth heareth my voice," but Pilate answers by asking him, "What is the Truth?" implying he did not know the Truth nor did he hear the voice of one who knew the Truth. There is but one answer to, What is the Truth? That is, I Am the Truth, the Life and the Way, Truth is not person, for God the author of Truth is not person. God is Principles and Laws of Being, the former being the Feminine nature and the latter the Masculine nature of God. Truth is the being of these Principles and Laws that give expression to themselves as ideas blended in Wisdom and Love. God as Word, means to speak. To speak is to express Intelligence that partakes of the Nature of God as Love, hence, Divine Intelligence in Love is Truth. Yet, the Love that is one with Truth is not a sentimental catering to personal desires, wishes and ignorance's, but is a scientific expression of principles. Love is principled expression. It has its reflection on the natural plane of living as natural principles that promote the good and offset the evil.  Truth when it is known and being contains the Life and Way of its unfoldment. For this reason, one gaining the Truth can show others the Way of Truth, for everyone gaining the Truth is a Wayshower as well as the Way. If one shows another how to use a saw to cut a stick of wood, physical action occurs, which is one with being, for being is what one does or lives. If one has so lived as to know the Principles and Laws of Truth, and shows the Way these apply to processes of living, the Way is already completed in the Principles and Laws, hence to receive what Truth makes known is to receive Christ that made Truth known.

Christ, the Truth, becomes the firstborn of every creature, therefore those putting on Truth today put on Truth as it was opened to the first one opened to the Truth. This is One Way for there are not many ways of Truth. There are many ways by which people develop through the natural consciousness, gain the I through subjecting all things to the self, subject the self to the Divine Will by which Christ, the Truth, opens to the consciousness, first as the Science of Mind and last as the Science of the Spirit. It is the Science of the Spirit that reveals Truth when it is directly known from within, from the Spirit of Truth, for the knowing of Truth comes from its being enacted within the consciousness because one is able to permit it. Thus, consciousness is to the Spirit of Truth what the naught of the planet is to God at its inception, a means by which the Principles and Laws of Truth may make themselves known through their being. Hence, Truth is a living of the Way as well as a way of living when it is consciously known.

One may mentally perceive the ideas that the knowing of the Principles and Laws of Truth reveals, but this is not the Truth, but is spiritual enlightenment. Yet, an idea received so as to become a part of one's consciousness is as a fruitful seed sown in receptive soil and will spring up and bring forth after its kind. For this reason, the sowing into the consciousness of ideas in which is the Spirit of Truth is the best kind of cultivation, by which the Truth can spring up within a consciousness and bring forth its own fruit. There is only one prevention to Truth's unfoldment, if ideas of Truth are incorporated into consciousness, and that is the failure to conform the natural plane of living to the spiritual ideas, so that the spirit of the natural reflects the spirit of the spiritual. When this objective counterpart of the inner Spirit is made, the within has an outer correspondent by which it can express itself, and the Spirit of Truth presses for further unfoldment. For example, the totality of God is Perfection. Man is commanded to be as perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect, but this is not possible until an outer perfection is developed by which the spirit of perfection is present to one in all that he thinks, feels, says or does. When the outer spirit of perfection is established, the Inner Spirit that is Perfection sees the likeness of itself and images itself in the likeness, making known the Qualities of the Inner Spirit as Light and Truth. This means that the natural man must attain a kind of a perfection to complete himself, before the spiritual man can be unfolded through the operation of the Principles and Laws of the Spirit.

Truth is being, oneness, union of male and female poles of consciousness. The mortal cannot know the Truth but the Plan of Life so operates as to permit him to develop the self to its height, at which point one dies to the self to become alive in Christ, the Spirit of God. At the point that one dies to the self, one dies to the love of the flesh, this being one with the death of the mind of the flesh. The mentality is the male pole of consciousness, and the love is the female, therefore, when both are united in the Light of the Spirit and devoted to permitting Being to be expressed, Truth brings forth itself through using the father-mother energies of itself. Truth, like God, father-mothers itself in the consciousness, but must have a united state within the ego in which to bring forth itself. The expression of Truth as being is Life though its inner aspect is Love. Thus Truth is the totality of all Qualities realized in their relation to the Spirit, and includes the truth about the untruth; though at this point the Universal action of Truth (Christ) is set into operation to establish a New Order of Life and Being for all who can receive it.
